Minnesota Marriage Amendment

Information, facts and articles related to the vote on Marriage that will appear on Minnesotan's ballots in 2012.

Blog Milestone: July 28, 2012

Today, I’m excited to share with you a blog milestone: www.MinnesotaForEquality.com has received 5,000+ unique visitors! With nearly 10,000 pageviews, it’s great to see the reach one guy blogging from his bedroom can have.

If you’ve been following me from the beginning, you know that the blog got its start on Tumblr last December. On March 1, 2012, the MinnesotaForEquality.com domain was launched. Both sites are kept updated with content to extend the reach of the important “vote no” message.

Through the blog, I continue to remind folks the importance of sharing their story and having conversations with their neighbors, family, friends, co-workers – and heck, even volunteering to talk to strangers at events like the Minnesota State Fair. By sharing our stories, we may be able to defeat this thing in Minnesota and be the first state in the Nation to say NO to writing discrimination into our state constitution.

To everyone that has stopped by, thank you. I plan to keep going until election day, and I ask that you, too, continue to share your stories. Please also be sure to tweet, facebook, reblog, or use any other social media tool you prefer to share links to posts you see on the site. Together, we can educate Minnesotans on the importance of voting NO on this mean-spirited amendment, and together, we can defeat this thing.

See you soon,
-Mark
