St. Olaf Faculty Vote No

Add the faculty of St. Olaf College to the growing list of people voting NO on the marriage amendment this fall. In late August, faculty members voted to oppose the amendment in a symbolic vote.

According to the Northfield Patch:

The vote comes a week after the group of St. Olaf Votes No, made up of alumni and friends of the school, started a petition in opposition of the amendment. The petition has collected nearly 800 signatures.

While I doubt a petition of 800 signatures was the deciding factor, it should be clear that our voices absolutely have influence and make a difference in this campaign.
