So this is a totally random post, but I’m just so inspired by my friend Claire that I had to share. You see, over the past two weeks, Claire has been updating her status on Facebook making an offer to deliver Vote NO yard signs across Minnesota. Her friends simply let her know that they’re interested and within a week, they’ve got their own sign!
Claire updated her status again tonight with a tally and another offer:
I’m going back to the Minnesotans United office soon to buy some Vote No signs for the likes of [JW] and similarly awesome folks. Need a sign? They’re $10 each and are a beautiful shade of orange, mixed with just the right amount of blue. I’ll buy extras and will deliver them to your humble abodes. Delivery, plus my super sweet presence will be free of charge. I’ve pledged (to myself) to deliver 100 signs to new homes. I am at 38. Who wants to be lucky #39?
Another great example of how Minnesotans are taking action and mobilizing to defeat this mean-spirited amendment. Reading stories like this should make us all pause and ask: What else can we be doing to be the first state to defeat this amendment?
Come November 7th, I don’t want to have any regrets and so I’m working hard to educate voters through this blog and through volunteering. How about you? Will you have any regrets come November? Claire’s story is a great example that you don’t need to volunteer 40 hours a week or donate thousands of dollars to the cause. She highlights the power and the impact that just one person can have, and I couldn’t be more proud.
Each of us has the power to drive change, but only if we speak up. Let your voice be heard and take action today.
Let’s keep the inspiration going! Share this, like it, post it on Facebook, email it to your friends.
We’ve got eight more weeks to be heard, and only one chance to get this right.

Thanks for your post. I’ve forwarded your note on to Claire. I don’t know if she’s still out delivering signs, but at least I’ve passed along your note. Thanks for your desire to stand up for equality and say NO to this mean-spirited amendment!
