Franni Franken speaks against marriage amendment

Love is love and commitment is commitment and marriage is marriage. Nobody owns it; it shouldn’t be taken away from you. So, this amendment is just not Minnesotan.

Earlier, I posted a video in which Al & Franni Franken speak out against the marriage amendment. In the video, Franni shares why this amendment is just not Minnesotan. It really resonated with me: LOVE belongs to all of us and amending our constitution so that same-sex couples can’t take part in the rights and responsibilities that come with marriage is just wrong.

Thank you to the Frankens for standing up for equality and voting NO.

Al Franken and wife Franni Franken vote NO

Spend less than two minutes to hear Al and Franni Franken speak out against the marriage amendment on ballots this NOvember.

Al starts off the video:

I believe that it’s time that all people who love each other be able to be married.

Franni and Al then share how they met and how they share a common interest in history that they’ve passed down to their children:

We would always tell them, ‘well the constitution is all about protecting people.’

Franni goes on to talk about how love is love and that nobody owns it. Al shares how a commitment is a good thing and that we should want that for everybody.

Franni and Al both conclude the 2-minute video together:

Franni: And if we vote this down, it’ll be a wonderful affirmation of Minnesota
Al: And who we are
Franni: And who we are as people.

Thanks to the Frankens for their support. Two more Minnesotans standing up for equality and voting NO!
